I completely change my mind.
Wedding planning is no longer for the birds. In fact, it's a ton of fun. While I'm ready to be married and want the day to come quickly, I think I'll be sad in a way when it's over.
We have save the dates addressed and ready to go - they'll be mailed after the holiday.
The best part was finding my dress. I was able to go with my mom, which I didn't initially think would be possible. I had fallen in love with this one gown. It was flowy with lace and tulle. But, I called the places who carried the designer and nobody had it. I ended up going to this great place in Mount Pleasant, SC where they had the style I thought I wanted in a different fabric.
I was totally wrong. I fell in love with something completely different. A much fuller skirt with a sexy sweetheart neck. The train was longer than I thought I would want. I was just in love.
My mom was completely quiet. She wouldn't tell me what she thought until after I said, "I think it's it." And then she tells me she knew it all along. Of course!
So now that I have the dress - in 12 to 16 weeks - I am no longer begging my fiance to just elope. Suddenly, everything feels real.
